This page will gradually bring together a number of artists whom I admire, from

across centuries and disciplines.

I am a great admirer of Alberto Giacometti.  I first encountered his work in a slide show by a drawing instructor at art college  - the painting, 'Tete Noir'.  His life's work, it seems to me, was one long attempt to make sense of the reality that presented itself to him.  I look more to his painting and drawing than the sculpture.  In my view that is where his unremitting search is most evident.  His was an austere path.  The search, laid bare, raw.
